silken tofu chocolate mousse

Mid afternoon chocolate craving? Make this gut and hormone friendly mousse instead of that baked good from the coffee shop!

I finally tried homemade chocolate mousse that’s dairy free and made with TOFU. I swear, you can’t even tell there is tofu in it. If you aren’t consuming soy products daily, why? They’re inexpensive and so healthy!

I wanted to make a mousse using cacao instead of relying on chocolate chips so here you have a delicious dessert or snack with fibre, protein and magnesium thanks to the cacao. Random fact, did you know that the saturated fat in dark chocolate doesn’t impact lipids like animal prodcuts? Fascinating! I use cacao because it’s not cooked and therefore has higher antioxidants. I like the taste too, but use what you have on hand. I think cocoa is less expensive.

The protein, fibre and healthy fats help stabilize blood sugar more than traditional desserts. Important for steady energy, fertility, mood and inflammation.

Kid friendly, I tested it for you and he loved it.

The type of protein you use will likely change how much sweetener you’d like. I use this protein and I’ve added a discount for you!
