Castor Oil Packs for Period Pain and Hormone Support

Castor oil has been used since the 16th century. There is some research, but more is needed. I find comfort and power in knowing this oil has been used traditionally for centuries.

Castor oil contains ricinoleic acid which is anti-inflammatory. Inflammation can be beneficial in the short term, but long term, it can impact stress hormones and immunity. This oil can be used topically as a castor oil pack and it helps blood vessels dilate and improve circulation.

Castor oil moves blood, lymph and toxins.

I often recommend using castor oil packs to clients with:

  • period pain/menstrual cramps

  • inflammation

  • liver congestion (hormone health depends on optimal liver function)

  • rashes that are likely linked to liver health

  • a need for further detoxification support

  • constipation

  • higher cholesterol levels

  • hormone support, it can help increase progesterone and reduce estrogen

  • ovarian cysts

  • uterine fibroids

  • fertility challenges

  • endometriosis or adenomyosis

  • a gut health infection on a protocol needing extra support

Try a castor oil pack

PMS, liver detoxification support, circulation, fertility

Our liver knows exactly what to do during detoxification, however we are exposed to so many more chemicals and processed foods now than years ago. I like the bucket analogy - you only have so much room in the bucket and once it gets full, it spills over.

We also can’t just start including castor oil packs and expect magical transformations if we’re still eating a fibre deficient diet. Ensure you’re also focusing on whole foods and lots of plants.

If you’re looking for further support with gut health, constipation, bloating, women’s hormones, check out my services.
